Stoner Hands of Doom

Stoner Hands of Doom is one of the premier annual gatherings for underground heavy/stoner/doom music in North America. SHoD has been held annually since 1999 in various small venues throughout the USA. Many acts are unsigned/unreleased and many travel thousands of miles to gather in the name of rock. The concept was dreamed up by promoters Rob and Cheryl Levey, who have planned, booked and organized it since its inception. Under their guidance, the festival affectionately known as SHoD has grown over eight years from a one-day event to a weekend-long gathering, featuring over three dozen bands.

Discounted tickets are now available for Friday $10, Saturday $20 and Sunday $20 or a 3-day pass for $45. Tickets will be $5 more at the door.

We ask all bands show up 2 hours before your set up time. We will have a back line supplied by Krank Amps. All band members will get one guest for the show on their day of their show. On the days you are not playing we will charge $5 per person for the band and their guests.

Shod Venue Name : Hollywood Alley

Hollywood Alley is a 21+ venue in Mesa that has been doing live music for over 15 years. They have the best and loudest PA for any 200-250 range venue in Arizona. They are a full service bar that is open at 6am for the graveyard shifters and is kept open for a their lunch and happy hour attendees. The Alley also boasts about a dozen or so TVs so television, sports, and bad films on VHS are a daily activity. They also have a nifty retro game room with a lot of your favorite pinball and arcade games from the 80s. Once 8pm rolls around, The 'Alley transforms itself into one of the longest running and best reputable rock n roll venues within Metro Phoenix (18 years and running!). And most importantly, they are family owned (not corporate). We are owned and operated by three generations of a family that can been seen working day and night, 7 days a week.

Hollywood Alley is located at 2610 West Baseline in Mesa, AZ which is 1/8 mile east of the Loop 101 and the Tempe border.

Need to get away from the loud music? Take a step into our back room filled with many of your favorite arcade and recreational games. The game room features two pool tables, bubble hockey, air hockey, darts, Megatouch Trivia, Police Trainer, Golden Tee Live, Golden Tee 2004, Big Buck Hunter, Blitz 99, World Class Bowling, Sharkey's Shootput (pinball), Ms. Pacman, Revenge of Doh, Arkanoid, Dragon Spirit, Ghost 'n Goblins, Defender, and Pigskin. Don't worry! The Hollywood Alley staff carries plenty of quarters to make change with.
